What Is A 7.3 ICP Sensor

The 7.3 Injection Control Pressure ICP sensor location on top of the driver’s side cylinder head towards the front of the engine. The 7.3 icp sensor sends pressure reading to the Powertrain Control Module PCM through an analog signal. The PCM then sends a pulse-width modulation signal to the Injection Pressure Regulator IPR to control pressure. The IPR is located in the High Pressure Oil Pump HPOP. The HPOP is a gear-driven, hydraulic supply pump responsible for sending pressurized oil to the fuel injectors
