Remanufactured for towing, hauling, and performance applications, the DFC Tow/Haul Standard package is a great addition to your 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke. With the ability to support up to 600 horsepower, each DFC engine is remanufactured to meet the most strict guidelines. DFC engines are remanufactured using advanced Rottler machining equipment and have significant upgrades to help your engine maintain its reliability and durability. As a result, you get an engine that is built to tolerances that are tighter than the factory specs for a more efficient and longer-lasting engine!
DFC engines are usually matched with near-identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies. This provides your Ford with a smoother running engine that creates less noise and feels more balanced. This remanufactured Long Block includes new pistons, rings, bearings, and seals.
During the remanufacturing process, DFC upgrades the Tow/Haul Series engines to give you a better-performing engine. Each long block gets a Powerstroke Products Billet Camshaft, DFC HD Push Rods, ARP 2000 Series Head Studs, and ARP Connecting Rod Bolts. DFC also uses new pistons with chamfered piston bowls with ceramic coated crowns, and dry film coated skirts.
Each 6.4L Powerstroke Tow/Haul Series engine comes standard with O-ringed cylinder heads. Unlike some others in the engine building industry that re-use wearing items like valve guides, DFC replaces each one with a set of new cast guides in every cylinder head. They don’t stop there; instead of just re-grinding used valves, DFC installs all new valves from high-quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head.

New Engine Checklist (Replacement Items – Sold Separately):
- Oil Cooler – highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.
- Injectors – highly recommended especially on higher model engines or engines with contaminated fuel.
- Turbocharger – recommended if mileage over 125K, mandatory if shaft play, or if the engine was dusted.
- Water Pump – highly recommended if the engine has over 125K.
- Evans Waterless Coolant – recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion and boilover.
The specific brand of each component may change due to part availability at the time of each build. Parts are chosen at the discretion of DFC and cannot be specially requested. DFC uses only the best components sourced from multiple brands during the remanufacturing process and backs their engines with an industry-leading 5-year 100,000 mile warranty.
$500 Crate charge is included in the core charge total. Engine shipping crate must be returned with core engine to receive full core credit. The price listed includes pre-paid shipping for the core return of $350 and a $200 oversize shipping fee.
