Constructed using advanced Rottler machining equipment, you can be sure your engine is built to tolerances that are tighter than the factory specs for an efficient and long-lasting engine!
DFC engines are usually matched with near-identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies. As a result, you get a smoother running engine that creates less noise and feels more balanced. This remanufactured Long Block includes new pistons, rings, bearings, and seals.
Each 6.4L Powerstroke Street Series engine comes standard with O-ringed cylinder heads. Unlike some other engine manufacturers in the industry that re-use wearing items like valve guides, DFC replaces each one with a new set of cast guides in every cylinder head. They don’t stop there; instead of just using old valves and giving them a re-grind, DFC installs all new valves from high-quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head.
DFC Street Series engines come standard with ARP 2000 Series Head Studs to give you peace of mind that your new engine won’t fail due to head gasket issues. Not only does DFC use ARP Head Studs, when assembling the bottom end of your 6.4L Powerstroke engine they also replace the factory connecting rod bolts with ARP Fasteners to ensure you have an engine that is more dependable than the original.

New Engine Checklist (Replacement Items – Sold Separately):
- Oil Cooler – highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.
- Injectors – highly recommended especially on higher model engines or engines with contaminated fuel.
- Turbocharger – recommended if mileage over 125K, mandatory if shaft play, or if the engine was dusted.
- Water Pump – highly recommended if the engine has over 125K.
- Evans Waterless Coolant – recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion and boilover.
The specific brand of each component may change due to part availability at the time of each build. Parts are chosen at the discretion of DFC and cannot be specially requested. DFC uses only the best components sourced from multiple brands during the remanufacturing process and backs their engines with an industry-leading 5-year 100,000 mile warranty.
$500 Crate charge is included in the core charge total. Engine shipping crate must be returned with core engine to receive full core credit. The price listed includes pre-paid shipping for the core return of $350 and a $200 oversize shipping fee.
