DFC remanufactures each engine to meet stringent guidelines. While rebuilding the engine, DFC makes crucial improvements to help your engine maintain durability and reliability, even with added horsepower. Each engine is machined using Rottler equipment. These precision machines ensure your engine is built to tolerances that are tighter than OEM specifications for a more efficient and longer-lasting engine!
During the build, DFC addresses common leak areas such as an added bead of silicone on the main cap plate to eliminate the potential for leaks down the road. DFC engines are matched with near-identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies. As a result, you get a smoother running engine that feels more balanced with less noise. This remanufactured Long Block includes new pistons, rings, bearings, and seals.
Unlike some others in the industry that re-use wear items like valve guides, DFC replaces each one with new cast guides in every cylinder head. They don’t stop there; instead of just re-grinding high mileage valves, DFC installs all new valves from high-quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head.
DFC Street Series engines come standard with ARP 2000 Series Head Studs to give you peace of mind that your new engine won’t have head gasket issues like a factory Ford engine. Not only does DFC use ARP Head Studs to ensure the heads don’t lift off the block, they also replace the factory connecting rod bolts with ARP Fasteners when assembling the bottom end of your 6.0L Powerstroke engine to ensure that you have an engine that is more dependable than the original.

New Engine Checklist (Replacement Items – Sold Separately):
- Oil Cooler – highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.
- Injectors – highly recommended especially on higher mileage engines or engines with contaminated fuel.
- Turbocharger – recommended if mileage over 125K miles, mandatory if shaft play is present, or if the engine was dusted.
- Water Pump – highly recommended if the engine has over 125K miles.
- Evans Waterless Coolant – recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion, boilover, and all-around a better cooling system performance.
The specific brand of each component may change due to part availability at the time of each build. Parts are chosen at the discretion of DFC and cannot be specially requested. DFC uses only the best components sourced from multiple brands during the remanufacturing process and backs their engines with an industry-leading 5-year 100,000 mile warranty.
$500 Crate charge is included in core charge total. Engine shipping crate must be returned with core engine to receive full core credit. The price listed includes pre-paid shipping for the core return of $350 and a $200 oversize shipping fee.
