Ford’s 6.0 Powerstroke turbo-diesel V-8 engine is known to have some issues with its lubrication system.
Commonly, the engine’s high-pressure oil pump will fail or have leaking seals. The 6.0 HPOP pressurizes the engine’s oil to at least 3,000 psi before the oil compresses fuel in the injectors.
