Ford’s 325-horsepower diesel V-8 engine isn’t known for reliability. Its most common failures involve the 6.0 Powerstroke head studs and head gasket. +Read more
The engine’s torque to yield (TTY) head studs have insufficient clamping force, which can result in a blown 6.0 Powerstroke head gasket and, potentially, cracked cylinder heads. Performance enhancing aftermarket parts can also cause cylinder pressures that are higher than what the head studs can withstand. To throw another wrench into the mix, the TTY head studs cannot be reused. Instead, they must be replaced after being removed from the engine.
Upgrade your Powerstroke engine to prevent failures down the road. ProSource Diesel offers a wide selection of head studs, gaskets, O-rings, service kits, and more.
