A leak underneath the driver’s side of the vehicle can signal an oil cooler issue. Commonly, the oil cooler’s outer O-rings can dry out and harden, permitting oil to leak where the oil cooler attaches to the headers. This may not warrant a full replacement of the oil cooler; however, performing a 7.3 oil cooler upgrade can help it meet the system’s demands. A leak under the passenger’s side, however, can indicate a leak from the dipstick.
