Though this generation of Ford’s Powerstroke turbo-diesel has proven to be more reliable than its predecessors, it is still vulnerable to leaking 7.3 Powerstroke up pipes. +Read more
A lack of boost and excess soot can indicate that the 7.3 up pipes may be cracked or have failing gaskets. Leaks can usually be found around the up pipe collector flanges or on the firewall near the collector. In addition, the donut gaskets can deteriorate and leak at the pipe collector, requiring replacement.
To help with up pipe issues, you can replace the factory units with 7.3 bellowed up pipes. Bellowed up pipes allow for contraction and expansion without stressing the donut gasket. While there may be minimal performance gains, bellowed up pipes offer an improved design over the stock units.
Prosource Diesel offers all of the parts you need to upgrade and replace your turbo up pipes and gasket seals.
