A common issue is too much turbo lag and reduced power with the Holset HE351VE turbocharger. Caused by excessive soot or oil coating the VGT vanes inside, the vanes become clogged and stuck in position. Fixing this issue involves either taking apart the turbocharger and cleaning it or a full 6.7 Cummins turbo replacement. These turbochargers also face issues with leaking oil seals, worn bearings, and compressor wheel damage.
