One of the common issues with the engine is blown head gaskets. Believed to be caused by higher cylinder pressure than the 5.9 Cummins produced, a 6.7 Cummins head gasket replacement may be needed if there is coolant entering the combustion chambers, oil and coolant mixing with each other, or overheating and leaking coolant.
