One of the most well-known problems is the LML injection pump, which is prone to complete failure. Often, there is not enough lubrication available in ultra low sulfur diesel fuel, causing the Bosch CP4 high-pressure injection pump to grind away metal inside and create no-start situations. A faulty injection pump can require a full replacement of the injection system, including the injectors, fuel lines, filters, and the fuel tank. To help lower the chances of a dead injection pump, the LML fuel filter should be regularly replaced.
